As part of a landmark £1.6 million investment by Rushcliffe Borough Council, the refurbishment of Keyworth Leisure Centre in Nottingham marked a significant step forward in improving community health, wellbeing, and access to modern fitness facilities. KreatiViz was honoured to play a pivotal role in this transformation by delivering high-end architectural visualisation services that brought the design vision to life before a single brick was laid.

Our studio was commissioned by JRD Design and Build to create a full suite of photorealistic 3D architectural renderings that showcased the upgraded spaces — from the dynamic new reception and social lounge to the revitalised pool, gym, and changing areas. These visuals were not just illustrations, but powerful communication tools that helped architects, council members, and the wider public clearly understand the proposed upgrades. By transforming technical plans into engaging, immersive imagery, KreatiViz enabled more informed decision-making, smoother planning approvals, and stronger community support during the pre-construction phase.
The project reflects how expertly produced 3D visualisations can enhance every stage of architectural development — especially for public sector works where transparency, trust, and clarity are key. Through our architectural CGI services, we helped Keyworth Leisure Centre evolve from concept to a shared vision, inspiring confidence and anticipation for what’s to come.

Visualising the Future of Community Wellness
To support the redesign, KreatiViz produced a comprehensive series of high-quality interior renders covering all major areas of the redevelopment:

-
A welcoming new reception area
-
A refreshed café and seating lounge
-
Modernised gym and fitness suites
-
Upgraded swimming pool environment
-
Reconfigured changing rooms and individual cubicles

Each visualisation was carefully crafted in collaboration with the project’s architects and interior designers to reflect the proposed materials, lighting, spatial flow, and atmosphere.

Helping Councils And Communites Envision Changes
For public sector projects, gaining public support and stakeholder alignment is critical. KreatiViz’s visuals served as a vital communication bridge — transforming technical drawings into compelling, easy-to-understand images.

Used across council updates, digital platforms, and stakeholder reports, our renders enabled:

-
Clear communication of proposed changes to the local community
-
Stronger visual identity for press coverage and online publications
-
Confident planning and contractor coordination
-
Effective visual storytelling for public announcements and social media
As reported by the BBC and the council’s own announcements, the refurbishment of Keyworth Leisure Centre is part of a broader push to support active lifestyles and create modern, accessible community spaces. Our visuals gave this message emotional clarity, enabling the public to truly see what was coming — not just hear about it.
Interior CGI That Tells a Human Story
We paid close attention to flow and function. In the café and social zones, open seating and visual transparency create a strong sense of connection with the pool, encouraging interaction and inclusivity. The pool environment itself was rendered to show clearer lighting, improved spatial organisation, and accessible facilities. In the gym, state-of-the-art equipment layouts and dynamic lighting helped visualise a more energising and motivating fitness experience.

What We Delivered
By focusing on material realism and emotive lighting, each visual helped people imagine the environment not just as a structure, but as a lived experience.

Each rendered space served a unique communication purpose and was crafted to evoke a specific mood:
Cafe Area
Refined yet inviting, with wood panelling, ambient lighting, and a clean spatial layout
Cafe and Social Lounge
Light-filled and open, with visual connection to pool activities and modern furnishings
Swiming Pool Area
Clean, accessible, and functionally zoned to support both leisure and fitness swimmers
Changing Rooms and Cubicles
Private, hygienic, and purpose-built for user comfort and inclusivity
Gym and Fitness Suite
Dynamic, modern, and motivating, with an efficient layout and professional atmosphere

Our Approach
Every CGI we produce is meticulously calibrated to match real-world camera positions, lens data, and lighting conditions. For this project, we conducted an on-site photography session to capture base imagery under consistent lighting. We then modelled the development in 3D, ensuring the architecture’s dimensions and positioning matched architectural drawings. Finally, we composited and retouched the images to ensure a cohesive and lifelike result that blends naturally into the existing streetscape.
Supporting Design Development With Realistic Visualisation
Beyond public engagement, our CGIs proved highly valuable for internal design decision-making. The project team used the visuals to assess finishes, material palettes, and interior lighting conditions — all before physical works began.

Photorealistic details such as ambient lighting, furniture selections, flooring textures, and tiled surfaces were accurately rendered, helping designers make adjustments and gain approvals efficiently. This visual prototyping process helped reduce ambiguity, improve collaboration, and avoid late-stage design revisions.

Visual Assets Designed for Versatility and Reach
Each visual was developed in ultra-high resolution, with dynamic lighting setups and multiple angles to give viewers a complete sense of each space’s scale and design intent.

Our CGI package for Keyworth Leisure Centre was developed for high impact across multiple communication channels. We delivered each image in presentation-ready formats suitable for:
Planning submissions and reports
Council websites and local news portals
Social media posts and public consultation displays
Internal stakeholder decks and update bulletins
